A new exhibition at Wolfsonian-Florida International University, Miami Beach design, propaganda and the decorative arts museum looks at a century of the modern concept of speed - and its limits.
"The exhibition reflects on the legacy of the celebration of the Futurist movement speed and moves beyond the art and literature in the fields of material culture, the environment built, popular entertainment and everyday life," said Marianne Lamonaca, Associate Director of the Wolfsonian conservation and educational affairs.
"The limits of speed," was co-hosted by the Wolfsonian-FIU and Canadian Centre for architecture and Curator Jeffrey t. Schnapp, Professor of history at Stanford.
